This still restrained effort offers a layered nose of violets, dark berries and distinct earth nuances. There is good power and intensity to the tautly muscular and solidly concentrated flavors that are firmly structured though there is perhaps a bit less rusticity present than usual. As is often the case with this youthfully austere wine it will require at least a decade to reach its full potential.
